Valentina M. Tejera is an attorney with Mase Lara Eversole focusing her practice on appeals and trial support. Ms. Tejera was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She earned her B.A. in Biology from Boston University in 1995. She received her law degree, cum laude, from the New England School of Law, Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Tejera graduated in the top six percent of her class and while in law school she received honors while on the New England Law Review as Case and Note Editor. Her writing has been published in the New England Law Review entitled “Tripping Over Property Rights” 33 New Eng.L.Rev.967 (1999) and she has received four CALI awards for highest class grades in Wills, Estates and Trusts: UCC: Sales; Taxation of Business Entities; and Tax Clinic. Ms. Tejera worked in the Nassau County District Attorney’s office in New York as well as the Office of Attorney General here in Miami. She was also employed by other Miami and New York law firms prior to joining Mase Lara Eversole. She is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of French. Ms. Tejera is admitted to practice in all Florida and New York state courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Eleventh Circuits and is a Bar registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark office.
